The house enjoys a large secluded terrace garden with many plants and flowers, an illuminated pool, loungers, barbecue, tables and chairs. Even an elevated deck area that captures the last of the evening sun as its sets over the hillside overlooking the village.
The golf course, beaches and forest walks are just a few minutes away. And local facilities include a tennis club, gymnasium and health spa.
Situated in the Vila do Bispo conservation area, the village of Budens is located 95 kms West of Faro airport and can be reached by car from Faro in under an hour'.
Situated in the pretty village of Budens, Casa Madeira lies in an unspoiled small street where village families have lived for generations. The local Portuguese people are naturally friendly, sharing a mutual respect with visitors to their quiet and old village.
The ancient churches, village square and cafes are focal points for the locals. Budens offers a number of good restaurants, cafes, mini-mercados and even a small but well stocked supermarket and the whole region is rich with a variety of excellent eating-places.

Modern Living – In Traditional Style, All Year Round
Casa Madeira has just been completely renovated using modern materials, but with workmanship in keeping with the traditional Portuguese style of this over 150 year old cottage. The whitewashed rustic walls and high, bamboo lined, open eucalyptus beamed ceilings, afford a particularly spacious feel to the single storey character cottage.
Houses in Algarve do not generally have heating, as the climate is warm for most of the year. However there are radiators through the house to ensure the comfort of guests during those cooler months. Lighting, even in modern Portuguese houses, tends to be stark and sparing. This is not so with Casa Madeira which unusually, is lit to provide good light and a warm ambience.
There is a mass of storage space in the modern kitchen for those who choose to self cater. The twin stainless steel sinks, marble work surfaces, Tecnogas range and microwave, make for the easiest food preparation and cooking. Good quality cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and washing machine are provided for the use of guests. As are an iron, ironing board and a range of kitchen implements.
