Set below the rolling Chiltern Hills, the cottages have panoramic views of Ivinghoe Beacon which is the start of the famous Ridgeway Walk. Ramblers come from all over the UK to walk the many delightful paths in the immediate area. Golf and riding are available in the surrounding area, and the farm has a tennis court which guests are welcome to use. Whipsnade Zoo, Wooburn Safari Park, the picturesque village of Aldbury, (often used for television series) and the grand Union Canal are all a short drive away. Town Farm has been run by the Leach family since the early 1930’s. About 1,000 sheep are farmed on the Beacon Hill and surrounding high ground, while the lower fields are used for crop cultivation. The “Pick Your Own” opens in June and guests can take a picnic and stock up on fruit and vegetables.
