Whilst being totally reformed we have kept the original features, these add character to the house. La Quinta(the country house) stands in its own secluded grounds and has the benefit of 360 degree views. Easy motorway access makes visiting fascinating cities and towns like Cordoba, Granada and Seville a pleasant drive. The Sierra Nevada ski slopes are just an hours drive away, as is the Lake at Fuente de Piedra. Although a typical white washed village, Riogordo boasts supermarkets, post office, banks, chemist and bars. A 24 hour medical centre is situated in Benamargosa a few klms away. Riogordo is also known for it Passion Play and the Semana Santa (Easter) procession. Lake Vinuela is a short drive away where you can fish, canoe or enjoy a meal at one of the beautiful lakeside restaurants.
Axarquia Airport is nearby where you can hire (with pilot) a light aircraft for an arial view of the countryside.
