Our old restored Cortijo is situated in a secluded peaceful location on its own hill surrounded by gardens full of exotic colourful flowers, sweet smelling plants and orange and lemon trees. Cortijo El Terral has breathtaking panoramic mountain and countryside views of olive and almond trees all the way around and looks towards the hilltop village of Comares. The attractive swimming pool sits naturally in the landscape within the garden. We have renovated the Cortijo to a very high standard retaining the features and feeling of this beautiful comfortable home but with all modern facilities. Traditional heavy wooden doors and wooden shutters, hand made tiled floors and beamed ceilings throughout are part of the unique character and charm of this spacious and special retreat. The interior has been professionally designed with particular attention to detail.
It is five minutes drive from the pretty white washed pueblo of Riogordo in the region of Axarquia. The village is typically Andalucian with its winding streets and small tapas bars. Our hideaway L shaped Cortijo is situated to the north east of Malaga. It is a designated area of outstanding beauty surrounded by National Parks, a well kept secret between the Mediterranean and the Sierras. Excellent roads are easily accessible to visit Granada (1 hour), Antequera (30 minutes), Ronda and Gibralter (under 2 hours),Cordoba and Seville (2.30 hours).
For a quiet, tranquil, relaxing stay yet within easy reach of local villages, the coast and historic cities then El Terral is for you.
