Awd Tuts Cottages in Whitby consist of two idyllic luxury holiday cottages, both in great locations and of 4 star quality. We are strictly non-smoking for the comfort of all guests.

Historic, romantic AWD TUTS COTTAGE (by the beach)was built in the year 1640, and offers old world charm on Whitby harbourside. This holiday cottage is ideally placed in the very centre of Whitby 'Old Town'.
For a more contemporary option, choose our RIVERSIDE COTTAGE, (THIS IS THE NEWER ONE SHOWN HERE IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS). (THE OLDER PHOTOGRAPHS ARE OUR OF 17th CENTURY COTTAGE) This cottage offers traditional elegance in a beautiful, tranquil location on the banks of the scenic River Esk with stunning views.
'Awd Tuts' Cottage in the heart of Whitby Old Town is a four-storey, ex-fisherman's cottage full of charm, with low ceilings and wooden beams. Considerably refurbished, this cottage offers you character and charm in old cobbled streets. The cottage dates back to the year 1640 and sleeps up to 5 people comfortably.
The Lounge is fully equipped with Sky Freesat TV and DVD playeR also full unlimited, Broadband internet Wi-Fi free of charge.
The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped with all the comforts of home. The Main Bathroom has a beautiful white bathroom suite incorporating a Jacuzzi, and the Master Bedroom has convenient en-suite facilities.

Riverside Cottage is an exclusive, brand new, contemporary 3-bedroom, and 2-bathroom cottage ideally placed very close to Whitby town centre and it's many attractions, including Whitby Abbey. This gem of a cottage nestles below the former railway viaduct on a tidal section of the lower River Esk. Riverside sleeps up to 6 people.
Riverside has two divine double bedrooms and 1 bedroom with modern bunk beds, perfect for the kids. All are delightfully decorated in light and airy colours. (Cot, high chair, safety gates provided free of charge) Our superb rooms are luxuriously appointed and feature all of the amenities you would expect from first-class accommodation.
The cottage setting is in a beautiful tranquil location with a free slipway to the River Esk and enjoys open views down the river toward the open sea. Ideal for more than one family or couples. The ducks expect to be fed daily and will tap on your window to let you know they are there.
The lounge has its own private balcony overlooking the River Esk, and the charming contemporary dining room also has a view across the river. Riverside Cottage has a contemporary decoration throughout, with divine hard wood floors, and crisp contemporary colours and furniture. The first floor bathroom has a shower over bath, and the second floor bathroom has a bath, both in white. The fully equipped modern kitchen is light and airy, and again with a contemporary design.
Also available are a selection of short breaks throughout the year.
