Castara Retreats is a new eco-resort set into the hillside overlooking the fishing village of Castara on the Caribbean coast of Tobago. The overall accommodation includes a stunning penthouse apartment (sleeping 4) two one bedroom apartments below (each sleeping 2) in the main house plus two new luxurious cedar lodges (sleeping 2-4) and a characterful renovated fisherman's shack (sleeping 2). All have astounding views over the broad sweep of Castara Bay and/or look west over the Caribbean. Castara Retreats is four minutes walk from the sandy beach and the village with its little shops and cafes. Backed by the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere and surrounded by lush tropical gardens, Castara Retreats has an abundance of colourful wildlife from Mot Mots to Hummingbirds, Agoutis and Iguanas. There is a pagoda and terraces with plenty of seating and a barbecue - perfect places for watching the sunset or stargazing. All the accommodation is stylishly and comfortably furnished with quality mattresses, white bed linen, full-size frame mosquito nets and well equipped kitchens. Spacious covered decks allow unhindered views and cooling breezes to circulate. You can rent the accommodation separately or as a group. Our minimum booking is seven nights except at the last minute when we take bookings to fill gaps.
