Windsor Palms located in the Formosa Gardens area less than 10 minutes to Disney is one of the premier vacation spots in the Orlando area. A 24/7 manned security entrance maintains the resorts exclusivity and with a full range of resort ameneties on offer Windsor Palms is a perfect place to spend your vacation.
After passing through the gated entrance you will quickly come to the resort clubhouse which naturally is reserved for the exclusive use of resort guests such as yourself. In this 7500 square feet clubhouse you will find a comfortable air conditioned lounge area offering WiFi internet for those that want a peaceful place to connect to the internet. If you haven't brought your own computer then you are welcome to use the business center which offer computers and a printer. There is a small fee for internet access in the clubhouse but our home has free WiFi for you to use.
Inside the clubhouse you will find your own movie theater! Select a movie from those on offer in the resort sundry shop, pick a time to have it shown and the resort staff will arrange for it to be played on the big movie screen for you. Get there early - you will want to make sure you get a seat for your own show!
Kids and adults alike are sure to enjoy the games and arcade room in the clubhouse. There are two pool tables and a ping pong table and a range of electronic video games to keep you amused. If fitness is your thing then you will be pleased to know that Windsor Palms has it's own air-conditioned exercise room for you to use as you wish. If you prefer to take your exercise outdoors then you will find a sandy volleyball court, two tennis courts and a basketball court to keep you occupied.
Also in the clubhouse grounds is a kids play area and a BBQ and Picnic area for al-fresco dining. Last but by no means least is a large outdoor swimming pool that is heated in the winter months. Boasting ample sunloungers and a hot tub this is a popular spot for Windsor Palms guests to make the most of those long sunny days that Florida is famous for. Forgot the sun-block or a newpaper to read? don't worry - there is a sundry shop located right by the poolside. Shuttle services can be arranged to the major parks (fees vary according to your destination).
All this and we haven't even told you about your vacation accommodation yet. Just a few hundred yards from the clubhouse you will be staying in your own beautifully appointed 6 bedroom 3.5 bathroom pool home. Open up the front door and you will walk through to the luxurious lounge area. Two 3 seater leather sofas and a matching 2 seater sofa provide a comfortable viewing position to watch the 50 inch Plasma HD TV that we've provided for you. With a large selection of cable TV channels and an attached DVD player all you need is the popcorn! Inside the entertainment unit you will find a few DVD movies and some books to further entertain you. The cable box has a built in hard disk recorder so you can record your favourite TV shows while you are out and pause and rewind live TV if you have to take a phone call.
The home has wireless internet installed and a cordless phone system with an integrated answering machine so that the folks back home can leave you a message if they try to call you while you are out enjoying the facilities on offer. If you want to call them then you will find that the phone system allows calls to anywhere in USA and Canada, for calling other locations you can purchase a phone card at any of the local stores or gas stations.
Adjacent to the lounge you will find an 8 seater dining table and 4 bar stools located at the kitchen breakfast bar. The kitchen of course is fully equipped with all the things you need to feel at home. A stove and oven, Fridge/Freezer with ice maker, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, dishwasher and plenty of pots, pans and crockery. The laundry room has a washer and dryer and iron and ironing board. There is a highchair stored in this room which is conveniently located adjacent to the dining area.
The ground floor has three bedrooms, two of them with en-suite bathrooms. The large master bedroom located off the lounge has an access door leading directly to the pool deck. This bedroom is tastefully decorated and has a king bed with a 27 inch TV and it's own large master bathroom. Inside the bathroom you will find his 'n' hers washbasins, a standalone shower cubicle and a jaccuzzi bath tub. There is a separate toilet room located inside the main bathroom and a large closet area.
Also on the ground floor we have provided a kiddies bedroom decorated with a Princess theme. In this room you will find a bunk bed, always popular with the children, with a twin bed on top and a full size bed on the bottom. Also in this room is a small toddler bed suitable for children under the age of 5. There is a TV/DVD player provided and there is a small half bathroom located just across the corridor.
The final bedroom on this floor is a queen master. This room has a queen bed with it's own TV and an en-suite bathroom for convenience. Moving on upstairs and you will find three additional bedooms and one further bathroom.
The first of these bedrooms is a twin room decorated with a Pirate theme. There is a TV/VCR and Playstation 2 games console located in this bedroom. The nearest bathroom is right next door in the adjacent room. At the other side of this bathroom is a further twin bedroom which is also tastefully but neutrally decorated and this would suit either adults or children. This bedroom also has it's own TV.
At the end of the upstairs corridor is a further king bedroom which in keeping with the rest of the house is also nicely decorated. Inside this room we have provided a TV/DVD and a full size crib with bedding which is sure to be appreciated by families with infants.
Back downstairs and you will find the garage has been turned into a games room - please note that it is not possible to park cars in the garage because of the equipment we have located in there. There is a slate bed pool table, an air-hockey table and a foosball (table football) table along with a comfortable couch for those non-playing spectators.
No Florida home would be complete without an outdoor space and you will not be disappointed! Doors from the lounge and master bedroom open up to the sunny pool deck. Alarms and a pool safety fence are provided for your security should you wish to use them. The whole area is screened to stop bugs becoming a problem to you and in the shaded area you will find a large table and 8 comfortable pool deck chairs. Perfect for outdoor dining! If you need a BBQ we can arrange the rental of one for you at a reasonable cost.
5 large comfortable sun loungers are on offer and there is a large sunny pool deck where you can sunbathe all day long if you choose to do so. There is a good size pool and a large hot tub that can take at least 6 people. Pool and hot tub heating can be ordered if required. Privacy is provided by two rows of bushes to the left and to the right side of the pool screen and to the rear there is a wall flanked by a row of magnificent palm trees. The road beyond the wall was the original access road into Windsor Palms but two years ago the entrance was relocated and so this road is now unused. This means a nice peaceful private, setting with no traffic noise.
We are confident that we have provided everything you need to have a memorable and magical stay in our vacation home at Windsor Palms and, in the unlikely event that you may incur any problems, you can be re-assured that there is a local management company that have been appointed to look after our home. They have people available 24/7 to respond to any assistance that you may need during your stay.
