Description

Conveniently situated on the beach side of the N332 within the old SEASIDE 'PUEBLO' ('village area') of LA ZENIA, therefore literally 5 minutes walk to the beach, this comfortable semi-detached Villa/Bungalow has been furnished in a more 'traditional' style.
It has an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, bathroom and 2 bedrooms both, with double wardrobes, and a utility room off the kitchen.
There is a queen sized sofa bed in the lounge.
A new 32" flat screen TV with English and Spanish stations, including a kiddies channel, has now been fitted.
There are also various books, games, a DVD player and a DVD library of family films.
There is a walled terrace to the front with patio furniture and a BBQ.

It is level walking distance from the property to the beach which has 'board walk' access.

THE AREA
The exclusive 'Seaside Area' of 'old' La Zenia mainly consists of detached private Villas located along Palm lined Avenues leading to the sea.
The Villa/Bungalow is situated in the 'Avenida De La Palmeras' (Avenue of the Palms) within the small development of 'El Pueblito' facing onto its private central square.

Immediately adjacent to the property is a public PARK with a CHILDRENS PLAY AREA and next to that is the lovely 2 storey ORIHUELA COSTA HOTEL which is open to non residents. It has both adult and kids pools, a poolside restaurant and bar, a stylish 'Chill Out Zone' with 'four poster' double lounging 'beds', settees and arm chairs and bar, plus a Gym, basement 'PUB' and a very good 'silver service' restaurant offering an excellant wine list.
Note: There is a charge to use the pool in the height of the season: JULY/AUGUST, (however, there are 3 lovely beaches 5mins walk away).

There are many other restaurants and bars in the area all within a short walk so a car is not necessary.
However, there is parking in the road outside the house.

There is also a small supermarket approximately 100 yds away and a bigger supermarket at the top of the road just up from the main road roundabout known as 'PADDY'S POINT'.
Here you will find 'PADDY'S' a well known Irish Bar as well as many other bars and restaurants.
You can catch the bus into town, hire a car or Taxi from Paddy's Point. There is also a dentist and chemist located here.

NEW FOR 2012 is the plush new LA ZENIA BOULEVARD SHOPPING MALL which is approximately 1 mile away up towards Villa Martin.It includes a cinema and bowling alley and food court.

There really is a lot to do in the area including a visit to the WATER PARK in town or riding at the local stables. There is a GO CART track and mini FUN PARK a very short drive away.

THE BEACHES
The 3 fabulous beaches of La Zenia are at the bottom of the road and if you follow the coastal path round the headland you will come to Cabo Roig Beach and Marina. Cabo Roig has a host of bars and restaurants located along the Main Road known as the 'Strip'.

TORREVIEJA AND FURTHER AFIELD
In town you will find a MALL, CASINO, a CINEMA that also shows English films during the week, a CRAFT MARKET, FUN FAIR, WATER PARK and an actual Submarine used as a museum moored in the harbour.
Go Bird Watching at La Mata lake.
Catch the ferry to the Island of Tabaca which was once used as a look out point to spot invading pirates.
Book a coach trip to Benidorn at the tourist office in town.
Trips include the theme park TERRA MITICA, MUNDO MAR (Sea World), the BENIDORN PALACE DINNER SHOW and GUADALEST, an old Moorish stronghold.

CARTAGENA CITY
Steeped in history this deep water Naval Port and lovely city offers lots to see and do such as: a CASTLE, ROMAN AMPHITHEATRE, tourist bus and boat and much more. Throughout the year large cruise ships moor here.

MURCIA CITY
Visit TERRA NATURA the themed ZOO/WATER PARK .
The city has an intesting old city centre and Cathedral.

GOLF COURSES
There are approximately 5 within driving distance. The closest is The Villa Martin Championship Golf Course. Adjacent to it there is a 2 storey Plaza with many restaurants and bars.
LA MANGA, famous for water sports and its GOLF COURSE, is approximately 45 minutes away further down the coast.
