The villa
Villa Laurus is a beautiful villa of traditional style set in a commanding position in this enchanting resort. Just a few steps away from its private terrace is one of the many pools set in beautiful landscaping. The villa is a very well appointed, luxury three bedroom, two bathroom detached property with a total gross internal area of 149.9sq.m.
The villa is of award winning design. The principle on which it was designed was to allow all living space to flow together whilst cleverly creating a sense of defined areas. There are no doors downstairs and the large windows and shutters allow air to flow freely through the villa. All living areas relate to the private terrace and a balcony above gives a lovely airy and quiet outdoor space off the upper hall. The entrance hall is double height with curved stair. Discreetly to one side is an area for shoes etc and a downstairs wc. To the left as you enter the villa, the large double aspect lounge opens out with large arched windows to take advantage of the elevated view over the Taurus mountains. Walk to the right past the stair and the kitchen and dining area open up with views both sides and large double doors onto the terrace. Upstairs the master bedroom with en-suite is isolated from both the double and twin bedrooms rooms which share their own large bathroom with separate shower cubicle. The interiors are modern but with local Turkish flavour.
The property comprises
Ground floor: A beautifully spacious lounge, approximately 31 sq. m with doors leading out onto the large terrace and landscaped gardens. A bright, airy dining area designed open plan to the kitchen, again with doors to terrace. A very well appointed kitchen complete with all white goods, oven, hob, hood, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Leading from the kitchen is a utility area and also on the ground floor is a cloakroom area with w/c.
First floor: A bright, large master bedroom with king-size bed and en suite bathroom with power shower. There is also one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and spacious family bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle with power shower.
The property has ceramic floors throughout and fully tiled bathroom and cloakroom areas. Concealed and individually controlled air conditioning provides heating and cooling facilities to the living areas and bedrooms. A beautifully curved stone staircase adds a touch of elegance to the property. The spacious terrace and balconies cover 37.03sq.m

The grounds in which the development sits are beautiful landscaped gardens designed by a highly acclaimed British landscape designer. The development was designed to be a delight to walk around, little niches and fountains being discovered en route. Instead of one large pool isolated from the accommodation, the site was designed to incorporate 9 pools so that each area of accommodation has a pool that feels quite private. Sofas and table are provided as well as sunbeds/shades for the pool. These pools are round 10m diameter with jacuzzi jets. There is also one large pool in the central area of the site next to the cafe/restaurant. The cafe/restaurant and terraces are the social hub of the site and barbecues and various activities are regularly organized. Social interaction was a key priority in the design of the whole development and, whilst you can feel quietly secluded if you choose to, there is strong sense of 'family' on the site both with site staff and visitors.
Private parking is provided right beside the villa which easily would accommodate 2 cars.

Description of Mediterranean Coast
The Turkish Riviera is set in one of the best locations in the world, surrounded by ancient cities and a turquoise sea, and is looked upon as the new face of Turkish tourism. Away from the beach front you can find beautiful National Parks with magnificent waterfalls and flora. Perhaps you would prefer mountaineering, caving, white water rafting, hunting or fishing - you choose. Turkey is possibly one of the very few countries in the world where you can go skiing in the morning and swimming in the sea in the afternoon!
Approximately 10 minutes drive from the resort beautiful sandy beaches are available to enjoy and for the active to embrace the many water sports on offer. Paragliding, water skiing, jet skis, underwater diving and yachting are just some of the activities in the area.
Side Belek and the surrounding area
Side (pronounced see-day)
Just 20 minutes from Augustus Village you can visit the beautiful and bustling town of Side, situated on a peninsula one kilometre long and four hundred metres wide. The name Side in the Anatolian language means pomegranate. Here you can indulge your hunger of times gone by with the abundance of historic monuments, museums, the superb Side theatre where the annual festival of the area is held, and the magnificent grandeur of Apollos Temple almost stretching into the arms of the sea.
For the more adventurous you can try diving, horse riding, jeep safari, white water rafting, quad bike safari and skiing, along with the usual beach sports volleyball, wind-surfing, para-sailing, water skiing, jet- skiing and banana boat rides.
If you are looking for nightlife as part of your holiday then there are an abundance of bars and restaurants in Side ranging from full on nightclubs to quiet traditional Turkish eateries.
Belek and golf
For guests, who are enthusiastic golfers, this area is your oyster. Belek is now home to 15 championship golf courses designed by famous names including Montgomerie, Feherty and Faldo. The quality of the courses has given Belek serious international golfing credibility and ensures that golfing in Turkey is a fantastic experience. With a target of opening more than 100 courses, Turkey aims to become the golfing centre of Europe. Courses are easy to book and as a keen golf enthusiast the owner will be more than happy to provide advice.
Special Places of Interest
Manavgat waterfall
One of the best known waterfalls in Turkey is located on the Oymapinar dam road, 3 km from the town of Manavgat. This is a particularly lush area with three good sized rivers to provide water. The average capacity of the river here is 155m3 per second.
Duden and Kursunlu waterfall
The waterfall is on one of the tributaries of the Aksu river and, nestling in the middle of a pine forest, is exceptionally beautiful. The countryside around the falls provides a lovely picnic area and pleasure spot and is just 30 minutes from Augustus Village. Kursunlu offers a unique experience of being able to walk behind the cascade. Its claim to fame is that it was used in the television advertisement for Timotei shampoo.
Caves
About one third of Turkey is underlain by carbonate rocks. The intense rock stratum is spread almost all over Turkey. It is found particularly in the regions of the Taurus Mountain Range. In the town of Alanya lies the cave of Dalmatas, which contains spectacular stalactites and stalagmites and the moist atmosphere is said to relieve asthma and chest complaints.
Places of Historical Interest
Perge
Here you will find the ruins of the once magnificent theatre, a u-shaped stadium which is still in a very good state of preservation, a Gateway and the remains of the wall that surrounded Perge in the Hellenistic period.
Perge is the second biggest ancient city in Anatolia and is situated in the district of the town of Aksu. The ruins of the city are vast and although excavations started in 1946 today the city has still not been fully uncovered.
Aspendos
Just 10 minutes from the resort you can find the best preserved ancient theatre in Turkey, built with a seating capacity of around 20,000 and one that is still in use today. During the summer months you can attend a concert, ballet or opera depending on the current programme for the season. This is truly an opportunity not to miss. Aspendos also offers views of a once magnificent aqueduct, constructed in Roman times around the 1st or 2nd century A.D.
Antalya
Although Antalya is today a modern city there are still traces of old Turkey that are worth searching for. The Hidirlik tower stills stands and the Karatay Medresse, an ancient castle overlooking the harbour with its old houses nestled inside. If the regions art and history is for you then you must visit the Antalya Museum.
